Born from a love of design, storytelling, and celebration, Wonder & Whimsy was created to bring a sense of artistry and warmth to gatherings across Kansas City.

What began as an event rental company, turned small outdoor picnics and styled dinner parties soon grew into a full-service creative studio offering event planning, design, boutique rentals, luxury bell tent experiences, and our own event rental space.

Founder Sara Garris brings years of design experience and a background in interiors to every project. She has an eye for scale, texture, and balance, and believes the best events feel lived-in, loved, and effortlessly beautiful.

With her family by her side and deep roots in the Kansas City creative community, Sara’s approach blends elevated design with genuine connection. She believes in collaboration over competition, intention over excess, and gatherings that truly reflect the people they celebrate.
